ABOUT

I’m Nik

I live in El Pescadero and work with a crew from La Paz, BCS, Mexico

My own design aesthetic is based on a practice that has evolved over four decades

exploring a range from formal English landscapes, Moorish and Mediterranean garden designs, Japanese design aesthetics, wilderness everywhere, and the elemental nature of Baja California itself.

I grew up in London, England, studied landscape and architecture, am a draftsman, designer and gardener. I spent several decades across Spain, Asia and the Californias ~ North and Baja Sur.

The old Persian word pairidaeza refers to a walled orchard, garden or enclosed hunting park. A calm, sheltered retreat from the outside world. Water channels and fountains may cool the arid air. Fragrant flowers offer vibrant colour. Elegant trees offer shade and fruit. If Paradise derives from such an elemental and idyllic place, then that is what we strive to create, consulting the Genius loci to inspire a garden congruent, but unique within the given environment.
